<p>Hello there! This is Grant James with Lead PPC, and in this article I&#8217;m going to talk about what are the top 10 law for marketing agencies um, if you&#8217;re looking to hire a new agency switch agencies never hired an agency before. These are just some to consider. I know quite a few of them um on a on a personal basis. I know Scorpion law firm sites white Hat and then of course ourselves here at least PPC. These are groups that I personally know really pretty well, and then a few other ones I don&#8217;t have relationships with, but thought that I would mention them so this is just from and the perspective of somebody who actually works in this industry how we kind of view other agencies.</p>
<p>So for number one I put Scorpion it&#8217;s I think Scorpion, all Things Considered is one of the best brands out there they actually have a really awesome office building next to 6 Flags in Santa Monica, California, as well as other, offices they&#8217;re a legit group they&#8217;ve been around for a long time&#8217; and they really started with law firms. Um, they law firms in dentists I think are really kind of what they cut their teeth in and then they&#8217;ve expanded in a fewer industries like franchising and other health care and and stuff like that but um what I like about them is they make really pretty designs. They do use their own content management systems of your WordPress only person then scorpion is probably not the best fit for you and then more and more just make sure that you have your own ad account that you&#8217;re working out of but as long as you kind of have an understanding of that type of stuff I&#8217;d say Scorpion, they just make really good looking stuff and they really do understand how to drive cases for law firms.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s see number 2 don&#8217;t know why that&#8217;s taken along okay is gonna be comrade so comrade digital Marketing. They work with 300 plus law firm since 2008. Um most of our clients spend between 20 $505,000 a month uh which so I think it&#8217;s very affordable and they have a lot of experience anytime you have a group that has done over you know, 300 accounts and a given niche we&#8217;ve done the same and we&#8217;ve done uh, let&#8217;s see we&#8217;ve done right around 300 franchise or accounts um, we&#8217;ve also done a over 200 um, dentist uh, orthodontist type of thing and that&#8217;s really where you start getting experiences when you&#8217;re in the hundreds um, these guys. Let&#8217;s look at some of their practice areas here let&#8217;s see I can go to the other yeah, anyway but they are recognized as a leading lawyer marketing agency.</p>
<p>They have some good case studies on here but I kind of want to talk about practice areas that they&#8217;re good at so they do let&#8217;s see personal injury big one criminal defense, family law estate planning and probate immigration bankruptcy I mean they do tons of them employment law in business litigation so if you&#8217;re in any of those this is a bigger one to consider that they&#8217;ve been doing so over 15 years law firm sites. These guys have done over 5, 800 different websites for lawyers. I think that they&#8217;re best for if you want a cheap WordPress website, then law firm sites is a good one to work with they do a lot of outbound marketing or at least did back in the day through email so I don&#8217;t know if some people kind of don&#8217;t love that but you know they really carved out a good niche for themselves. They&#8217;ve been doing it for a long time&#8217; I think they may have had some changes in who their management team does, but anyway they really do have their process down this would be one to consider. As far as affordable law firm sites go, another one is going to be white rabbit marketing.</p>
<p>Um, these guys have done uh, over 2650 different projects, so quite a few they do everything from web design to SEO, local search P. P. C, All that jazz I I&#8217;d&#8217; say that um having done a lot of work with them in the past. Um, I think that they&#8217;re very on the ball and very approachable and they have a lot of clients that have been with them for a long. Period of time and they&#8217;re all about actually getting results for people, so as far as the relationship side of it goes, white rabbit has some of the best relationships that you can have I really can&#8217;t speak more highly of a group than that the next is going to be no most marketing which no most is the Greek word for law these guy.</p>
<p>This is owned by attorney Tyler Roberts and his Roberts and his partner April Roberts so it&#8217;s 4 attorneys built by attorneys of you are looking for someone who really does understand what it&#8217;s like to be a lawyer then no most marketing may be a good fit for you um, I like how they do. You know some of their marketing stuff even on their own website up here yeah, and this is this is them so it&#8217;s a pretty intimate situation I think he&#8217;s actually quite tall I&#8217;m 66 myself so yeah, next is going to be Elite Legal Marketing so they only work with one client per market, which is actually not that uncommon with Waffer marketing.</p>
<p>Some of their clients improve include see Kirker Davis, which is an Austin family law practice. They also have a Chicago personal injury lawyer quite a few injury groups in different markets. They do web design, SEO, paper, click display advertising video marketing, social media marketing and Google Local Service ads and Google Local Service ads in the space is becoming becoming more and more important next is going to be US here at least PPC man. We&#8217;ve we&#8217;ve done a lot of volume especially with personal injury lawyers some of the biggest ones in the nation in Texas Utah, California.</p>

<p>Of these 3 markets, PPC Services For Lawyers is probably the most difficult. The primary reason for this is that lawyers usually advertise locally within a very tight geographic market (such as a city or small state). And, other lawyers have typically be advertising with that market for your target phrases for over a decade.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="2-why-its-difficult-for-new-law-firms">Why It&#8217;s Difficult For New Law Firms</h2>



<p>So, the other competitors that you are going up against typically have very old Google Ads accounts that have spent hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars with long ad histories and a relationship with Google.</p>



<p>This being the case, automatically you are at a disadvantage when you decide to enter a market.</p>

It depends on what your practice area is, but for many lawyers, this means somewhere between $500-$1,500 per case. <p>If you have the patience for it, with time you can create a strong Google Ads account that is positioned to scale. You&#8217;ll also need landing pages that convert at between 10-35% of your clicks turning into phone calls.</p>

<p>Once you have these 2 things, you are ready to compete. A strong Google Ads account along with highly converting landing pages means that you are ready to play ball and start driving more and more cases over time.</p>



<p>If you&#8217;re a big firm, and you have a lot of money to play with, you can get there more quickly by just spending $10-$20K / mo. for a couple of months to show Google that you are serious player and then optimizing things more efficiently to achieve your target Cost Per Case.</p>

<p>So, you&#8217;re interested in generating more cases for your law practice. But, there is a disconnect between your desire to drive more cases and ad agencies that promise clicks but not much more.</p>



<p>If you can get the results that you&#8217;re looking for, meaning a reasonable, consistent Cost-Per-Case, you would happily scale out your online advertising efforts and drove more cases and thus clicks. But, getting there in a reasonable amount of time is cause for concern.</p>



<p>Having managed roughly $3M in ad spend for law firms, here are 5 keys to look for when hiring an ad agency to drive cases for you for Pay-Per-Click advertising.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="0-the-focus-is-on-cost-per-case">The Focus Is On Cost-Per-Case</h2>



<p>At the end of the day, Cost-Per-Case is what matters most. Whether you are paying $1 for display ad clicks or $40 for targeted, competitive keywords such &#8220;car accident lawyer&#8221;, it matters very little. What does matter is that you end up paying less per case than you would for accepting a referred case from a law firm, which is usually about 33%.</p>



<p>We find that in reality, you want your Cost-Per-Case to end up being somewhere between $200-$1,000 depending on the type of case you are generating and the fees associated with that case.</p>



<p>For instance, if you are a personal injury firm, and you accept soft tissue cases that have a minimum fee for your services of $5,000, then you really want your Cost-Per-Case to be somewhere less than $1,000. At a Cost-Per-Case of $700, for instance, this represents 14% of the minimum value of a case, so it is most likely an affordable amount for your firm to drive as many cases as it can handle at that price.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="1-they-have-spent-a-lot-of-money-in-your-space">They Have Spent A Lot Of Money In Your Space</h2>



<p>Each practice area has its own challenges when it comes to driving cases online via Pay-per-Click.</p>



<p>For instance, it is relatively easy to drive criminal cases, but it is more difficult to drive calls and cases of individuals who have qualified cases and the cash to hire your firm.</p>



<p>Likewise, if your firm handles Social Security Disability cases, it is important for the agency that you are working with to understand that oftentimes it takes a year or more to get paid. This being said, the agency needs to understand that your firm will likely need to scale out slowly, as it takes time for you to get paid on the cases being driven. It may even require short time periods of turning ads off in order to have the funding needed to gradually build out the campaigns over time.</p>



<p>Most importantly, the agency that you are working with needs to have spent quite a bit of money previously not only in the legal field, but in the specific practice area in which you are looking to generate more cases. Asking the simple question, &#8220;How much money has your agency managed in the personal injury space (or whatever practice area you are in)?&#8221; will help you determine if they are qualified to assit you firm.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="2-they-make-their-own-landing-pages">They Make Their Own Landing Pages</h2>



<p>Never drive PPC clicks to your SEO optimized website. Doing so will cause you to overpay for cases. Ideally, you are looking for an ad agency that can convert clicks into calls at a rate between 20% &#8211; 35%.</p>



<p>This means that roughly 1 of 5 to 1 out of 3 of the clicks need to turn into a phone call. Mobile responsive landing pages as well as desktop landing pages with little clutter are key to accomplishing this.</p>



<p>Additionally, you should seek to have about 1 out of 4 to 1 out of 7 calls turn into an actual signed up case. This will ensure that your Cost-Per-Case is reasonable and allow you to bid on keywords that are more expensive because the rest of your process is honed in properly.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="3-theyll-protect-your-campaign-with-negative-keywords">They&#8217;ll Protect Your Campaign With Negative Keywords</h2>



<p>Protecting your paid ad campaign with negative keywords probably sounds like an <em>oxymoron</em>, but the opposite is true. Negative keywords are phrases that you don&#8217;t want to associate with your ad campaign. Specifically, when your ad manager plugs negative keyword phrases into your campaign, then your ad won&#8217;t show up when the negative phrases are queried in the search engine query field.</p>



<p>For example, if your firm wants to generate leads for retainer clients, then you don&#8217;t want your ad to appear in searches for <em>free</em>or <em>pro-bono</em> legal services. And if your legal specialty is <em>personal injury</em> or <em>medical malpractice</em>, then you don&#8217;t want your ad showing up for searches including <em>contract law</em>, or <em>SSDI claims</em>.</p>



<p>Furthermore, negative keyword settings protect your law firm&#8217;s brand reputation. If there&#8217;s been a negative incident covered by media outlets, then you probably don&#8217;t want your firms&#8217;s name associated with it. This would include legal defense involving<em>corruption</em>, <em>dangerous public figures</em>, <em>political scandals</em>, <em>white-collar crimes</em>, and the like.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="4-theyll-create-a-cost-efficient-keyword-list">They&#8217;ll Create A Cost-Efficient Keyword List</h2>



<p>One of the <em>greatest mistakes</em> that paid ad marketers make is bidding on <em>irrelevant</em> or <em>ineffective</em> keywords. They do so because they believe that they&#8217;ll beat competitors by claiming bids on as many keywords imaginable.</p>



<p>But all this strategy does is waste money on keywords that aren&#8217;t generating traffic, or worse, the ineffective keywords are generating the wrong type of traffic.</p>



<p>Professional, ethical paid ad managers brainstorm keywords that are not only relevant, but also, they&#8217;ll prove to be effective converters of traffic. This helps you to direct your marketing funds on the keyword ads that are genuinely garnering leads while preventing you from spending money on words that eat away at your budget.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="5-theyll-create-ads-that-complement-your-sites-content">They&#8217;ll Create Ads That Complement Your Site&#8217;s Content</h2>



<p>As mentioned, the length restrictions of your paid ad won&#8217;t allow for your firm to highlight its ability to assist clients, or answer their questions.</p>



<p>This is why your website&#8217;s text content (in the form of blog posts or articles) is a <em>wonderful</em> form of media to accomplish these goals.</p>



<p>However, your paid ads can be produced to complement your text content by providing the right keywords and taglines that will<em>entice</em> the reader&#8217;s curiosity.</p>



<p>In other words, your firm&#8217;s site visitors should read the ad, and they should feel that they&#8217;d <em>love</em> to learn more information after clicking the link. When the link directs them to your long-form content, then the site visitor should feel inspired to set an appointment to meet with your attorneys.</p>
